SING!SING!SING! brings you . . .
ONE NIGHT • ONE SONG • ONE-VOICE
ABOUT
On April 29, 2018, Sing!Sing!Sing!, Houston’s No-Audition, No-Talent-Needed, live music, singing group, launched “🎸Fifth Monday”, an evening for people of all cultures, ages, religion, political persuasion, etc., to come together… through song. Though we have recently changed the name of this event to “OneVoice“, the purpose, which is to build connection through communal singing, remains the same.
At “OneVoice“, the audience becomes the choir. On 4/30/18, 70 people, mostly strangers to one another, took less than 2 hours to learn a 3-part harmony arrangement of Paul Mc Cartney’s “Let It Be“. Then, on 7/30/18, 80 men, women and children gathered to sing “Stand By Me“. Most recently, on October 29, 2018, 50+ singers once again came together, this time to sing the powerful ballad, “This Is Me“, from the movie, The Greatest Showman.
On Monday, April 29, 2019, we will again gather to join voices in singing Leonard Cohen’s epic song, HALLELUJAH.
WHAT WE DO AT OneVoice:
The evening consists of our musical team, led by our musical director, Judi Messina, teaching us a 3-part harmony arrangement of the evening’s song. Lyrics are handed out. When ready, we join voices together and capture our “masterpiece” via both audio and video recordings, which are later posted on social media.
CONNECTION – NOT PERFECTION
The ability to sing is NEVER NEEDED at Sing!Sing!Sing! This evening is far more about coming together than singing. (Plus, the more who come, the better we ALL sound!)

HOW OneVoice CAME TO BE
Sing!Sing!Sing! was inspired to create a musical community gathering after watching an amazing 2018 video of 3,000 Palestinians and Israelis singing together in Haifa, Israel. The success of our own event has led to us to repeat it periodically through the year. Currently, we plan on holding OneVoice twice a year: once in the Fall and again each Spring.

*ABOUT SING!SING!SING!
Singx3 is affiliated only with Evelyn’s Park Conservancy… no other groups or organizations. We are simply a collection of men and women who get together to sing pop songs the 1st, 3rd & 5th Mondays of every month. Check meetup.com/singx3 for more info and summer dates.
**Kids are more than welcome to attend this event. We should mention, however, that there is a fair amount of practice time needed before the final recording of the night’s song, so those able to handle a little waiting will probably do best.
